This is a hotfix driver, version 531.58, which also addresses a number of other issues in Assassin's Creed Origins and Resident Evil 4 Remastered, albeit minor ones compared to the main course.

Users of RTX 30 series graphics cards who have been experiencing random crashes in The Last Survivor 1 will finally be able to enjoy this 3A masterpiece properly, as the following issues have been fixed and are listed in the hotfix changelog:

[The Last of Us Part 1] Can randomly crash on GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. [4031676]
Assassin's Creed Origins may experience stability issues when using 531.18. [4008770]
[Resident Evil 4 Remake] Corruption in game when FXAA is enabled. [4051903]

The Last of Us 1 developer Naughty Dog is advising users of Series 30 graphics cards to install the driver immediately. The studio has also released a new hotfix programme for the game today, which fixes more bugs and could help many players who are still experiencing crashes, slow performance and other issues.

If you are not experiencing any of the listed issues, or are simply not playing the game, you do not need to update to this hot fix. These fixes should be included in Nvidia's next official WHQL Game Ready driver, along with the usual game optimisations and feature updates.
