Microsoft Edge for Android can now block video ads on YouTube
Microsoft Edge for Android comes with a built-in ad blocker to provide users with an ad-free browsing experience. However, it's not a perfect feature as the built-in blocker cannot block all video ads on YouTube. Microsoft is well aware of this problem and is trying to fix it by introducing a new logo on Edge Canary for Android.
The new flag is called "Edge Block Video Ads" and enabling it will try to block all ads in YouTube videos. Technically, it should also block videos on other platforms. You can find new flags by going to edge://flags/. Now, use the following search:
Edge Block Video Ads
You need to enable the flag and reset your browser for the changes to take effect. It's also worth pointing out that the new logo for video blocking is only available for Edge Canary users on Android. You won't see it if you're using Dev and Stable Edge on an Android device. Microsoft is currently testing these features with Canary users, but when it's ready for a wider rollout, it will also be available to those using the stable version.

Microsoft Edge Canary isn't for serious work, and it shouldn't be your primary browser because it's not stable. The newly introduced video blocking feature may not work properly in many cases as Microsoft is still testing it. So don't lose your head when you see an ad playing in a YouTube video, even with the new flag enabled.
You can download and install Microsoft Edge Canary on your Android phone from the Google Play Store. You can also click the link below to download and install the browser. If you want to see the new logo, you must have Edge Canary installed on your phone.
