Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1 released: 2.5K touchscreen

3 February - Today, Xiaomi's first 2-in-1 notebook, the Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1, was officially launched and opened for pre-order with a debut price of RMB 2,999, and will officially go on sale at 10:00am on 7 February.

The Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1 is said to be designed with an aluminium-magnesium alloy body, ensuring a sturdy body while achieving a thickness of around 8.95mm and weighing around 685g, with a focus on mobile working.

With support for notebook, creative and tablet modes, notebook mode can be used with an exclusive keyboard for a full laptop experience; creative mode transforms it into a creative canvas for sketching and drawing with the Xiaomi Inspiration stylus; and tablet mode can be used for reading books or watching movies.

The Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1 features a 12.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560*1600 resolution, 500 nits brightness, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and 178° viewing angle.

At the heart of the Xiaomi Book is a Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor with 8 cores, 7nm process and 64-bit ARM architecture. The storage specification is 8GB LPDDR4X + 256GB SSD and Windows 11 Home Edition is pre-installed.

For mobile office convenience, the Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1 features a 5MP front-facing lens that supports 1080p recording and a 13MP rear-facing lens for easy photo capture and document scanning, a built-in dual microphone with Qualcomm Aqstic ECNS echo cancellation and noise reduction technology, and dual speakers for easy access to remote meetings.

The notebook is said to have a full-featured USB-C port with support for charging and 4K output, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack and TF card reader for office and entertainment.

The Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1's full-size, magnetically backlit keyboard features a large touchpad, 1.5mm key travel and 1.3mm key spacing, which Xiaomi says "allows you to enjoy a typing experience comparable to a traditional laptop when connected".
