Windows 11 Preview channel PrtScn button function changed
Users and the media have recently noticed that the default implementation of the PrtScn (Print Screen) key on the keyboard has changed in build 22621.1546 for the Windows 11 Preview channel and build 22624.146 for the Beta channel.
Previously, pressing PrtScn would take a full-screen screenshot and save it to the clipboard, whereas in the new version, pressing it will bring up the screenshot toolbar.
Some people were uncomfortable with this, as PrtScn has been around since Windows 3.1, and Microsoft was changing a habit that had been around for over 30 years.
The good news is that Microsoft has provided a "regret pill" that can be turned off in the keyboard options in Settings to return to the original PrtScn look.
