Formify launches new gaming mouse

March 20 - Canadian manufacturer Formify has launched a new custom gaming mouse designed to improve user comfort.

According to the report, gamers simply need to provide a photo of their hand and Formify will be able to create a custom 3D model through its software and then customise the mouse to fit the player's individual needs without discomfort, even during long gaming sessions.

In terms of hardware, the new mouse features a PMW3395 sensor with 16,000 DPI, 650 IPS, a maximum acceleration of 50G and an average weight of just 55g (depending on hand size).

Currently, mass-produced gaming mice cost less and these small differences may not be noticeable to casual gamers, but for professional gamers a comfortable mouse is important.

The gaming industry is a huge market, worth US$200 billion by the end of 2022, and with eSports accounting for around US$1.38 billion of this, the application of new mice is very promising.

In addition, 3D printing gaming devices for people with disabilities is another area of development that Formify hopes will help more people enjoy gaming.
