Apple to launch a folding screen MacBook in 2025: 20.5-inch screen

In today's news, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple will launch a foldable iPad in 2024, and then Ross Young and Mark Gurman refuted Kuo's comments, saying that there is no indication that Apple will launch a foldable iPad in 2024.

Ross Young also said that Apple will launch a foldable MacBook notebook with a 20.5-inch screen and full-size on-screen keyboard in 2025 at the earliest. In the unfolded state, an external keyboard is available, which is Apple's new product line.

For Apple to achieve mass production of folding screen notebooks for commercial use, the first thing to solve is the screen crease, service life of the problem.

Specifically, the folding screen requires not only a flexible film cover, but also OCA film, polarizer, touch film and other precision components, of which the OCA film has the role of enhancing the screen display effect.

Considering that the folding screen has to withstand "bending and straightening" nearly a hundred times a day, this will affect the stability of the OCA film. If Apple does not handle it well, there will be wrinkles, bad spots, and other problems.
