Apple may update iOS 16.3 and more on January 23 (next week’s time frame)

The Black Unity Apple Watch face will be available as part of watchOS 9.3 and iOS 16.3 updates, which Apple has revealed will be available the week of January 23.

The beta cycle for iOS 16.3 and other versions has been slow, with a total of only two beta releases in two months. However, Apple appears to be ready to release the update in the next week's time.

Apple has revealed the upcoming release through the Black Unity series of announcements. A footnote at the bottom of the page notes that the Unity hand surface will be available next week via watchOS 9.3.

This means that at least iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3, tvOS 16.3 and watchOS 9.3 will likely be released together sometime before January 27. Apple may also release macOS Ventura 13.2, but that's not necessarily a requirement.

Other than the new Unity watch face and wallpaper, there are no notable features in these releases other than the ability to use a physical security key for Apple ID two-factor authentication.
