Windows Media Player is available with the new Windows 11

Windows Media Player is getting better and better.

Microsoft has released a new version of Windows Media Player 11.2205 for Windows 11 in the Developer channel.

This update promises faster performance for users with large media collections. Also, you can now sort songs and albums in your collection by the date they were added.

An updated album page in Windows Media Player lets you sort songs by the date they were added. Earlier this year, Microsoft added another nifty feature to the media player - cD-playing support.

In addition, Microsoft has made changes to the Media Player theme and improved the overall ability for apps to drag and drop content. The updates are available to everyone in the Windows Preview Experience program and will begin rolling out to the public.

Windows Media Player is a free Player produced by Microsoft. It is a component of Microsoft Windows, usually referred to as "WMP". It supports burning, ripping, synchronization, streaming, viewing, and listening. It also supports enhancements through plug-ins.
